Frederick Fattibene
Frederick Fattibene, 80, of Somerset, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 10, 2018. He was the husband of Mary Frances DeSouto for thirty six years. Fred was born in Boston and he was the son of the late Cosmo and Angel (Barharian) Fattibene. After high school, Fred served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard. He will best be remembered for his cooking skills, as he was the owner of The Sub Shop and Freds Place, both of Fall River. Fred was also an avid poker player and fisherman. Fred cherished the time he spent with his friends and family. Survivors besides his wife are four sons, Todd Fattibene of Swansea, Jody Fattibene and his wife Donel of Winter Garden, FL., Robert Fattibene and his wife Susan of Naugatuck, CT, and Anthony Fattibene and his wife Katie, also of Naugatuck; a brother, Robert Fattibene of Medford; a sister, Jeanette (Fattibene) Mosko of Peabody; a loving mother-in-law, Maria DeSouto; three grandchildren, Elena, Jocelyn and Jamie Fattibene; a niece, Christine Fattibene of Medford; two nephews, Steven Sabatino of Somerset and Richard Kona of Stoneham. He was the uncle of the late Philip and Jeffrey Sabatino. All services for Mr. Fattibene will be private at the request of the family.
