JANE E. FURCHESS 1943 - 2018 DAYVILLE - Jane E. Furchess entered into eternal rest on September 9, 2018. She was born in Providence, RI on November 23, 1943. She attended school in RI until college at QVCC in CT. Jane retired from Reliance House in Norwich, CT after 13 years of service. She was a devoted family member, loyal friend, avid traveler, accomplished seamstress and a longtime parishioner at Trinity Episcopal Church in Brooklyn, CT. She served in many capacities over the years to include altar guild director, choir member, church secretary and kitchen coordinator. Jane was also an active member of the Connecticut Chapter of The American Sewing Guild. The thread that bound her to others was her love for people, sewing and the Lord. Preceded in death by her husband James Furchess, father Ernest Dasautell; mother Mildred Howard; stepdad Alvin Howard; son Ernest J. Brelsford; stepson Larry Furchess; stepson Joseph T. Furchess; stepdaughter Donna Knapp. Survived by her children, John and Anna Brelsford of TN, Steven Brelsford of TX, Barbara and Tim Bars of SC, Ann Furchess of CT, Janice and Dave Nye of CT, daughter-in-law Linda Furchess of MO and first husband Samuel Brelsford of ME, along with many beloved grandchildren, nieces and nephews and great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 7 Providence Road in Brooklyn, CT. Jane will be laid to rest at Martins Creek Cemetery in Erwin Tn at a later date. tillinghastfh.com
