Known as "Ev" to her many friends, she was born and raised in Mapleton, Maine, was a graduate of the Aroostook State Normal School (1951). Teaching in Presque Isle, she met her husband, Richard (Dick) Warren Drew of Plymouth, MA. They were married in 1952 and moved to Natick, MA in 1955. She was an active member of Fisk Church in Natick. While raising five children, she enrolled at Framingham State College and received her B.S. in Education in 1971. She worked for the Wellesley Public Schools in the Library Department until her retirement in 1996, when she and Dick moved from Natick to Sagamore Beach. They celebrated 61 years of marriage until his passing in 2014. A beloved fixture of the Sagamore Beach community, she was well-known to residents and summer friends alike.
