Linda Shapiro, 60 Dedicated to her family Linda Shapiro (nee Amato), passed away on Sept. 9, 2018. Linda was born Oct. 21, 1957, in Brooklyn to Joseph and Theresa. She married Arthur Shapiro and settled in Staten Island in 1988, where she raised her two sons, Matthew and Gregory. She was the beloved sister to Eleanor Riccio. Linda and Artie would have celebrated 30 years of marriage on September 18. Linda will be remembered for dedicating her entire life to her family. Her family had delicious home-cooked meals prepared by her every night. She loved cooking and everything she did was to make her family happy. She loved going to Mets games at Citi Field and watching the games on TV. She loved going to the beach, sitting outside by the pool and loved her Boston Terrier, Libby. She worked part time doing demos for supermarkets. She enjoyed Michael Buble and Lionel Richie. Visitation is Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Scarpaci Funeral Home, 6389 Amboy Rd.
