Roy R. Rodgers Roy Richard Rodgers, 74, of Burlington, KS, passed away Saturday morning, September 8, 2018. Roy was born March 24, 1944, in LeRoy, KS, to Roscoe and Dorothy (Farmer) Rodgers. On March 27, 1965, he and Sue Ingwersen were married in Burlington. Roy was an active member of the Burlington United Methodist Church. He was also active in Grange. He was a member and Past Master of the Neosho Valley Grange and for 9 years he was the Legislative Director for the Kansas State Grange. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Brad Rodgers. He leaves his wife, Sue; his son, Robert Rodgers and wife Ann of Ozark, MO; his daughter, Gina Rodgers of St. Louis, MO; 7 grandchildren; a brother, Joe Rodgers and wife Delores of Emporia, KS. A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 15, 2018, at the Burlington United Methodist Church. The family will meet with friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Burlington United Methodist Church and may be sent in care of Jones Funeral Home, PO Box 277, Burlington, KS 66839.
