DAVID H. GLOVER JERSEYVILLE — David Henry Glover, 81, of Jerseyville, formerly of White Hall/Carrollton, passed away on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 at the Jerseyville Manor Facility in Jerseyville. He was born in Berdan, Illinois, the son of Henry Allen and Esther Axley Glover on April 10, 1937, and they preceded him in death along with his grandparents. He married the former Barbara Jean Randall on July 14, 1957, and she preceded him in death on Nov. 1, 2013. He is survived by one son, Michael Glover of Springfield, and two sisters, Ellen Joan (Eldon) Kirchner of Jerseyville and Charlotte (Ron) McCormick of Springfield, and several nieces and nephews. David was a businessman in the Carrollton Community for many years, distributing petroleum and propane products to his customers. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He shared his wealth of Cardinal fan knowledge among his family and friends. He was a strong supporter of the Carrollton sports programs. He was honored and inducted into the IHSA Hall of Fame in Bloomington, Illinois, where he was recognized for his assistance and efforts in the sports programs. He also loved riding horses and horse racing. David was also a member of the Stuart Pierson Masonic Lodge in Carrollton. No services are scheduled at this time.
