Johnny Mickel “Tarzan” Douglas passed away on September 8, 2018, at the Middlesboro ARH. He was born on April 26, 1963, in Middlesboro, KY, to his late parents, James Douglas and Viola England Helton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his Grandmother, Goldie Marie England and his Grandfather, Charles Levi England and by his Grandson, Bentley Taylor Douglas Johnny loved to fish and hunt. He was saved and baptized at an early age at West Cumberland Baptist Church. He is survived by the following members of his family: Children: Johnna Shanndale Douglas of Thomasville, NC, and Johnathan Taylor Douglas of Thomasville, NC Siblings: James Junior Douglas of Pineville, KY, Bobby Lee Douglas of Middlesboro, KY, Elayne Thomas Weaver of New Tazewell, TN, and Charles Avery Helton of Rose Hill, VA Mother of his children: Jamie Patterson Holt of Thomasville, NC Special Friend: Anna Mae McVey of Middlesboro, KY And a host of other relatives and friends Funeral services will be at 2pm on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at the Creech Funeral Home in Middlesboro, KY, with the Rev. Ervin Gibson presiding. Music will be provided by Tammy Branham and Josh Collins Burial will follow at the Smith Cemetery in Middlesboro, KY. Pallbearers will be Terry Springer, Garrison Mason, Pat Johnson, Curt Johnson, Randy Lynch, Brain Marlow, Timothy Marlow and Johnathan Douglas The family will receive friends from 12-2pm on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at the Creech Funeral Home.
