Edith Fuoco
Edith R. Fuoco, of Langhorne, passed away into God’s loving care on Friday, August 31, 2018. She was 87 years old. “Mom-mom” or “Edie”, as she was affectionately known by her family and friends, was born on March 4, 1931 to the late George and Lavina (nee Lamont) Fischer in Philadelphia. She was the wife to Frank J. Fuoco and together they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past June 10th. Edie was a homemaker devoted to her family. She was an avid Phillies, Eagles, and Flyers fan and loved to play bingo. She also enjoyed crocheting and was an excellent baker, particularly known for her famous raisin cake and honey cookies. In addition to her husband Frank, Edie is survived by her children; Robert Barber (Janice), Lynn Goodwin (Raymond), James Barber, Diane Barber, and Glenn Fuoco (Michelle) as well as 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her siblings; Mary Sheaffer, George Fischer, and James Fischer as well as her granddaughter, Kristen Mortland. Relatives and friends are invited to Edie’s Life Celebration on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 12:00-1:30 p.m. at Swartz-Givnish of Newtown, 323 East Washington Ave. Newtown, PA 18940 followed by her memorial service at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
