Lucy Mae (Feathers) Williams
Lucy Mae Feathers Williams, 68, of Strasburg, VA, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018 at her home. A funeral service for Mrs. Williams will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the Stover Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Sonya Williams-Giersch officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stephens Cemetery. Lucy was born in Woodstock, VA October 16, 1949, a daughter of the late Carson Edward and Nellie Ann Putman Feathers. She was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church and attended St. Paul Lutheran Church. Lucy cleaned houses in the Strasburg area for 32 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald E. Feathers; nephews, Jeffrey Whittington and Kevin Lee Feathers; and a brother-in-law, Harold Whittington. Survivors include her siblings, Betty F. Miller and husband Lester, Judy F. Whittington, George A. Feathers and wife Pat, and Hattie F. Golliday and husband Alex, all of Strasburg, VA; and her nieces and nephews, Cindy Allen, Gregory A. Feathers, Crystal Morris, Hal Whittington and Lora Gonzales. Pallbearers will be Hal Whittington, Lester Miller, Alex Golliday, Robert Click, Gary Holsinger and Danny Wymer. Honorary pallbearers will be Jane Richard, Sharon Bowman, Betty Cook, Barbara Hodson and Laura Ellen Wade.
