In memory of
Pesky Moore
December 19, 1936 ~ July 24, 2018 Pesky was born Elenore Ruth Hagan, December 19, 1936 in Longview Texas, the daughter of Ruth and James Thomas Hagan. She attended college at Texas Christian University. At a dance in Kilgore Texas, Pesky met the love of her life, Frank Moore. Married for 60 years, the Moores followed Frank's career in the oil industry, raising their family in Austin, New Orleans, Memphis, Houston, San Raphael, and Kirkland Washington. After raising their family they lived in Portland Oregon and later, Oak Harbor. Pesky Moore was an amazing woman. Yes. Like so many great moms, she carried with her a simple yet sturdy countenance seasoned with enormous amounts of love and dashes of clever pedagogy. How a little girl from Longview Texas could move the world so much. She never sought prestige or celebrity - yet in her own demure fashion achieved more than most of us could hope to curry; her artistry in quilt making; her inimitable forays into the culinary world; her talent in creating fabulous Halloween costumes to delight her children and grandchildren; unquenchable quest to will her kids and the people around her safe passage; her love for the simple things in life - all surrounds her Spirit an aura that breathes still in the people she has touched. Pesky passed away peacefully, surrounded by family. She is preceded in death by daughter Elaine, parents, and brother Thomas Hagan III. She is dearly missed by husband Frank, sons Patrick (Jeannine), and Brian (Ann), and grandchildren Maggie, Christopher, Jason, Liam, and Conor, along with friends whose lives she touched. Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society are welcome. Please sign Pesky's online Guestbook at www.Legacy.com .
