NORMA WYMER
    Norma Gaye Wymer (Age 86)   Of Vienna, VA died peacefully in her home on September 1, 2018, from cancer. She was the beloved wife of nearly 64 years to Hunter "Cotton' Wymer, Jr.; the devoted mother of Keith (Jill Cummings), Greg (Kathy), and Lori Ravesteijn (Emil); and the loving grandmother of Nick and Hannah Ravesteijn, Paige Marcotte (Jared), Brian, Yuli, and Noel.   Born and raised on a farm in Volney, VA, Gaye was the youngest daughter of the late Fitzhugh and Eula (Sebastian) Perkins. She was preceded in death by her four older sisters.   Gaye and Hunter moved to Vienna in 1959. After raising her children, Gaye became a prominent business woman in Vienna, as the branch manager of the local bank and a member of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce. She was a Branch Supervisor and a Vice President for First American Bank when she retired. Gaye and Hunter provided daycare for their grandchildren upon their retirements.   Gaye was recognized by the Town of Vienna in 2003 for her "Service to the Community as an Outstanding Volunteer," for her 40+ years of volunteer work with the 50-90 Club. She was also an active member of Vienna Baptist Church for 50+ years. She was an avid sports fan of her children's and grandchildren's teams, and also of the Washington Redskins and Nationals.   A family visitation will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Vienna Baptist Church, 541 Marshall Road SW, Vienna, VA, followed by an 11:30 a.m. memorial service and a luncheon. Burial will occur at a later date in Volney, VA.   In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Vienna Baptist Church or Gaye's favorite charity, the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
