MANCHESTER, N.H. - Irene Marie (Lavoie) Morency, 92, of Manchester, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018 at Bentley Commons in Bedford after a brief illness. Irene was born on Dec. 29, 1925 in Manchester, the daughter of Arthur and Adeline (Salvail) Lavoie. She was predeceased by her siblings Maurice, Armand, Jeanne Ervin, Robert, and Paul. Before WWII, she met Amedee G. Morency but they waited until after the war to marry. The nuptial occurred on April 25, 1946. They enjoyed 52 years of marriage until Amedee's passing in September of 1998. The couple had four children, all living, daughters Pauline Desfosses of Manchester, Lorraine Dandurand of Goffstown; sons Raymond Morency and his wife Maureen of Nashua, and Gerald Morency and his wife Lucie of Milton; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Irene worked for many years at MKM in the Manchester millyard and Osram Sylvania in Manchester. She enjoyed shopping, bingo, as well as camping and traveling with her husband in their RV. She was a communicant of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church in Manchester. SERVICES: Calling hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 9 Saint Francis Way Litchfield, NH 03052, and burial to follow at Mt.
