In memory of
Joyce Ann Kelly
1929 ~ 2018 Our amazing and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother left us on September 7, 2018 to join those family and friends that have been waiting for her in heaven. She was diagnosed with lymphoma stage 4 cancer in February and fought the battle for 6 months, the outcome was- "she beat it"! However, her little body just gave out. Joyce was born in Salt Lake City on August 27, 1929 to Leo Martin and Violet Marie Peterson. She made birthdays and holidays full of memories for everyone, especially for the little ones. Family was her life. Throughout her years she enjoyed the company of friends while walking the mall in the morning, taking cruises to fun adventures, doing Tai Chi at the Senior Center, going to Wendover to play the "frog and princess" machine along with playing Bingo with family members and friends at the local Churches. She loved garage and estate selling. She was a supporter in watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports and participate in school activities. There was never a person with down-syndrome that she encountered, no matter the age, that she didn't sit and talk to and give them a hug! She had a heart of gold and we hope it will live on within family and friends. Survived by her husband Ray; children Janet Bruce, Sharrie Martin, Robin Kelly, Patti Larsen, Mike Kelly and Lisa (Rick) Bouillon; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that she loved and adored. Preceded in death by her parents and the light of her life, daughter Lora Jane (Shorty); Siblings: Ivan Peterson, Shirley Mora, Robert Peterson, and Nancy Middleton A viewing will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Drive, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Funeral will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. Family and friends may call 45 minutes prior to services. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity, Huntsman Cancer Hospital or "pay it forward" by taking a friend out for coffee or lunch.
