PROCTOR - Bridget Leah May, 43, of Proctor, died unexpectedly Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018, at her home. She was born April 25, 1975, in Jackson, Mississippi. Mrs. May met her life partner, Steven Duprey, on Feb. 14, 2006. They lived in Clarendon Springs for many years before moving to Proctor. They recently bought a house in South Carolina and were planning on moving in the next few months. For 11 years, Bridget was a LNA at The Pines Nursing Home where she deeply cared for her patients. She was employed at the Hannaford deli in the beginning of 2017. Mrs. May's favorite thing to do was cook. She also loved fishing, relaxing with a beer and her favorite songs. Survivors include her spouse, Steven M. Duprey; his children Keegan R. Duprey and Sydney Duprey; her four children Summer A. May-Amerio, Samuel A. May-Amerio, Skyler A. May-Amerio and Scotty A. Perosky; her four siblings Alison L. Juroe, Samuel E. May, John-William D. Juroe and Joshua J. Juroe; her mother, Joycie Marilyn Juroe; her grandmother, Charity Maurine Sitz, "Nanny." A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 2 p.m. followed by visiting hours from 2 to 4 p.m. at Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland. A celebration of life will follow at 4 p.m. at the American Legion in West Rutland.
