Donald Boyd Pearson
Donald Boyd Pearson Donald Boyd Pearson went to be with his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on July 27, 2018. He was 88 years old. Don was born June 19, 1930 in Seattle, WA to Eli and Jennette Pearson. Don graduated from Roosevelt High School, earned a BA Degree in music and secondary education at the U of WA, and a BD at San Francisco Theological Seminary. As an ordained Minister for the Presbyterian Church USA, Reverend Donald Pearson served at First Presbyterian Church in Tacoma, WA for 3 years and as Pastor of Mount View Presbyterian Church in White Center for 11 years. He then became a non-denominational Pastor of Maranatha Chapel for 11 years. After 25 years of Gospel ministry, Don worked for the City of Seattle Parks and Recreation for 3 years, and the State of WA Dept. of Corrections for 11 years as Recreation Leader, before retiring in 1995. Don will be remembered as a devoted Christian, loving family man and good friend. He was a talented pianist and musician for 80 years. He enjoyed the beauty and recreation of the PNW. Don will be dearly missed by his wife Maybelle, and all of his family, relatives and friends who loved him. A Memorial Service for Don will be held on Saturday, September 15th at 6:30 pm with Reception before at 4:30 pm, at Marysville Rock Creek Free Methodist Church.
