William P. “Billy” Tingle
MOUNDVILLE -William P. ""Billy"" Tingle, age 74, of Moundville, Ala., passed away September 6, 2018 at Hospice of West Alabama. A Memorial Visitation will be held Sunday, September 9, 2018, from 10-11 a.m. at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Elizabeth Johnson and William Andrew Tingle; and sister, Betty Burroughs. Billy is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn Lea Tingle; son, William Tingle; daughter, Martha Ann Graham; stepsons, Jeremy Bartishofki and Tony Lea; sisters, Rubye Cook, Myrtis Burroughs, Anne Bonner, Dorothy Beckham, Joyce Wood; brother Dale Tingle; and mother-in-law, Sally Sawyer. Billy never met a stranger and was devoted to his family. He loved the Lord and serve faithfully as a member of the Moundville Church of the Nazarene. Most importantly Billy's faith guided him at work, with his family and during his last journey through illness. The family wants to especially thank the caretakers at Hospice of West Alabama. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to: Easter Seals West Alabama, Community Soup Bowl or Hospice of West Alabama.
