In memory of
Jack Osterberg
Jack Osterberg, 80, of Hendersonville, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, September 6, 2018. Jack had a quiet, gentle demeaner and big heart, and was considered by many to be the nicest guy on earth. Jack served his country in the Army during the Korean War. An entrepreneur at heart, after receiving his MBA from Wharton Business School, Jack built a home building and development company in Dallas. Upon retiring at age 70, he obtained his realtor's license and practiced in the Hendersonville area until his passing. Jack loved to travel, play golf, and read mystery novels, but more than anything he was a man of strong faith and loved serving his church and helping others. Jack is survived by the love of his life and wife of 52 years, Sandi Osterberg; his son, Scott Osterberg and wife, Julia; daughter, Katy Johnso; and 8 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Monday, September 10 at 1:30 PM at First United Methodist Church Hendersonville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Blue Ridge Humane Society. Shuler Funeral Home is assisting the family.
