Phyllis Johnson Farish
Phyllis Johnson Farish, 81, of Ferncliff, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville. Born on October 28, 1936 in Louisa County, she was the daughter of the late Virginia Grace and Thomas Roy Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband, George R. Farish. Phyllis is survived by her stepson, George Robert Farish Jr. of South Carolina, and a granddaughter, Meggan Cashwell (Taylor), of Raleigh North Carolina. She is also survived by her numerous cousins, special caretakers Carol Morris and Clara Bruce, and her beloved dog Ellie Grace. Phyllis retired after many years of service at Circuit City in Richmond and was a faithful member of Macedonia United Methodist Church. Funeral Services were held Monday, August 27, 2018, at Macedonia United Methodist Church in Louisa. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Macedonia Cemetery fund in care of Faye Stewart, 1124 Holland Creek Road, Louisa, VA 23093. Sheridan Funeral Home of Kents Store, Virginia handled the arrangements.
