Mila C. Landers 1961—2018 Surrounded by her loving family, Mila C. Landers. 57, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018, the same day her daddy passed away 58 years ago, at her daughter's home in Bartlesville, OK, from her courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 12, 1961; the youngest child of the late S/Sgt. John M. and Lavonne J. (Stabenow) Chamberlin. She graduated from Freeport High School in 1979, and Highland Community College in 1994, with degree in Business Administration. She had worked at Crum and Forster, Swiss Colony in Monroe WI, and Bank of America in Phoenix, AZ in customer service. She also bartended at Marty's Tap in Lena. Mila will be forever remembered as a hard worker, fun loving, wonderful and caring mom, sister and friend. Her infectious laughter, quick wit and life of any party will always be remembered. She married Joe Landers March 16, 2013. She is survived by her daughter, Amanda J. Best (Bryce French) of Bartlesville, OK; Amanda's dad and special friend, Dick Best of Dakota; siblings, John (Tina) Chamberlin of Freeport, Candy Balthazor of Davis, Robert Chamberlin Sr., of South Wayne, WI, Donald Chamberlin of West Burlington, IA, Dena (Roger) Kampmier of Davis, and Angela Chamberlin of Freeport. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. A celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, September 29, at Mulligans in Lena. Cremation rites were accorded by Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville, OK. A memorial fund has been established in her name for the American Cancer Society.
