BENNINGTON - Wanda J. Willoughby, 68, formerly of Bennington, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, at Albany (New York) Medical Center, following a long illness. She was born May 2, 1950, in Cambridge, New York, the daughter of John and Ella (Brayson) Hewson. She graduated in 1969 from Bennington High School and attended Albany Business College. On Jan. 20, 1993, she married Donald L. Willoughby in Bennington. He died April 4, 1999. Mrs. Willoughby was employed at many Bennington area businesses, most recently, at Fay's Drugs. She enjoyed knitting, cake decorating, dancing, reading and walking. Survivors include a son, Fred Grant Jr., of Bennington; three grandchildren; two aunts and several cousins. She was also predeceased by a son, Leslie "John" Grant; two granddaughters; four siblings Joseph, Velma, Margaret and Gail Hewson. The memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at Mahar & Son Funeral Home, where calling hours begin at 4:30 p.m. prior to the service.
