Marvin K. "Sonny" Borror
Chambersburg- Marvin K. "Sonny" Borror, Jr., devoted husband, father and grandfather, 81, of Chambersburg, PA, died Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the Paramount Senior Living Center in Fayetteville, PA. Born on March 19, 1937 at Burlington, WV, he was a son of the late Marvin Kermit Borror, Sr. and Olive Wilda (Leatherman) Borror. Mr. Borror was a 1955 graduate of Keyser High School and was retired as a zoning enforcement officer with Greene Township. A former member of the Salem United Brethren Church in Chambersburg, Mr. Borror was a longtime member and past president of the Greene Township Lions Club. He also was a member of the Izaak Walton League and was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Georgia (Shirley) Borror; two children, William L. Borror of Feasterville, PA and Elizabeth W. Stahli and husband Samuel of Falling Waters, WV; five grandchildren, Benjamin Borror and wife Nicole, Adam Borror and wife Laura, Jonathan Borror, Peter Borror and Brian Stahli and five great-grandchildren, Benjamin Borror, Jr., Abigail Borror, Asher Borror, Dominic Borror and Victor Borror. Also surviving are two sisters, Lois Shipley of Huntington, WV and Mary Kay Parker and husband James of Burlington and three nieces, Linda Salem, Holly Shipley and Cindy Hoffman. A funeral service will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ron Cook and Rev. William Borror officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Headsville Cemetery. In addition, a memorial service will be conducted at the King Street United Brethren Church in Chambersburg, PA on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Condolences and personal reflections to the family may be left after Mr. Borror's obituary at smithfuneralhomes.net.
