Mary Burns
Burns, Mary Mary B. Burns, 89, of Madison died on August 30, 2018. She was the wife of the late Robert P. Burns and the daughter of Salvatore and Catherine Becciu. She is survived by her son, Ronald P. Burns of Stuart, Florida, and her daughter, Attorney Maureen Burns of New Haven. Mary was a lifelong resident of Madison enjoying for many years her circle of friends at East Wharf Beach. She graduated from Daniel Hand High School, Class of 1947. She and her family were founding members of St. Margaret Church. She retired from Connecticut Water Company in Clinton. Mary bravely, and with a sense of humor, fought years of disability from MS. Special thanks to her many friends and caregivers including; Branford Hills Health Center, Shoreline Visiting Nurses Association, Faustina Sackey-Mensah and Connecticut Hospice. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Church in Madison. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Clinton. Friends may call Friday 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Hawley Lincoln Funeral Home, 1315 Boston Post Road, Guilford, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O.
