Kenneth "69" Abney Gray's Hill Kenneth "69" Abney 62, of Gray's Hill, died August 28, 2018, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. He was born October 3, 1955 in Bronx, New York, the eighth of ten children of the late Iradell Abney, Sr. and Frieda W. Pimble. He was educated in the local public schools of Bronx, New York and was a 1974 graduate of Evander Childs High School. He did further studies at Bronx Community College. Kenneth relocated to Beaufort, SC and became a member of Gray's Hill Full Gospel Deliverance Church where he was a member of the Usher Board and Men's Choir. Kenneth was truly a servant of his community, helping those in need. He was "Mr. Fix-It", if was broken 69 could fix it and was very detailed oriented about his work. Kenneth is survived by five brothers, Frank Abney of Riverside, CA, Lawrence (Barbara) of San Fancisco, CA, Donald Abney and Deacon John (Linda) Abney both of Beaufort, SC, Siddiq (Evelyn) Najee of Bronx, NY; one aunt, Hilda Wradge 0f Bronx, NY; a host of nieces, nephews cousins, and many friends. Services: 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 4th at Gray's Hill Full Gospel Deliverance Church. The body will repose at the Church from 10:00 AM Tuesday until the hour of services. There will be no viewing after the eulogy.Burial will follow in Beaufort Memorial Gardens under the direction of Marshel's Wright-Donaldson Home For Funerals.
