Rudolph Charles Hardwick Simpsonville - Rudolph Charles Hardwick, 104, of Simpsonville, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018. He was the widower of Doris Marguerite Cox Hardwick. Rudolph was born in the Loris area of South Carolina to the late Ellis Hampton Hardwick and the late Lena Lula Lewis Hardwick. Mr. Hardwick retired from the Army in 1961 after severing over 20 years. While in the Army, he served in multiple airborne divisions, but he considered the 82nd Airborne Division his favorite. Mr. Hardwick is survived by two sons, Ken Hardwick of Simpsonville, and Steven Hardwick (Randi) of Johns Island, SC; two grandsons, Kenneth Hardwick (Nacole Potts) of Brevard, NC and Travis Hardwick (Elizabeth) of Blythewood, SC; and four great-grandchildren, Anne, Adam, Laurel, and Allie. A visitation will held on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Heritage Funeral Home beginning at 12:00 PM. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 PM in the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will be at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson. Online condolences may be offered at www.heritage-funeral.com . Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.
