Mary Frances T. Oberg
Mary Frances T. Oberg, nee Louis, 88, New Haven, passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, at New Haven Care Center. Mary Frances, daughter of the late Eugene Louis and wife Frances, nee Wussler, was born April 21, 1930, in Marthasville. She was the widow of Henry Oberg. They were united in marriage June 19, 1954, in Dutzow. Mary Frances worked alongside her husband on their dairy farm. After they retired, she took care of elderly folks in their homes and also babysat for others' children. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, New Haven, and the St. James Church Ladies Aid at Stony Hill. Mary Frances loved having people over to play cards. She loved a good card game and also enjoyed playing other games. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Kase and special friend Dave Bockting, New Haven, and Linda Rohlfing and husband Roger, Washington; five grandchildren, Chris Kase and wife Jonell, Shawnee, Kan., Janice Lindemann and husband Tony, Washington, JoAnn Watson and husband Tom, Olathe, Kan., Jessica Gildehaus and husband Jason, Washington, and Rachel Kertz and husband Tanner, Union; and seven greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Visitation was held Monday, Aug. 6, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 7, at 10 a.m. at St. James Evangelical Church, Stony Hill. Burial followed at the church cemetery. Memorials may be given to St. James Evangelical Church or Cemetery, in care of Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home. Arrangements were in care of Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.
