Michele Lee Donnelly
Donnelly, Michele Lee 12/12/1958 - 7/27/2018 Dexter, Michigan Michele Lee Donnelly (Valentine), age 59, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2018 surrounded by her wife, sister and family, and her brother's daughter. Michele was born in Detroit on December 12, 1958 to James Valentine and Beverly Phippen (deceased). Loving wife of 30 years to Sherry Smith. Survived by her dear sister Kimberly (Tim) Pegg, nieces and nephew Emily (Lee) Byrd, Leigh Ann Pegg, Christopher Pegg, and Alyssa Valentine. Brother James Valentine and grandmother Eva Donnelly precede her in death. Michele adored her cat Mocha along with many other four-legged friends. She had a great love of woodworking and enjoyed camping on Lake Michigan; cooking and eating with friends/family; Tiger baseball; and riveting political discussions. Michele had a unique and piercing sense of humor. And most of all, she had a huge, compassionate heart. She will be deeply missed by many. Our deep gratitude and appreciation go out to the UM Cancer Center team and the staff at Mott Hospital Hematology/Oncology units of 7West and 8East for their willingness and ability to be fully present with Michele on this journey. Thank you from the deepest part of our hearts. There will be a memorial gathering in the fall.
