Carmela Bottalico, 74 Devoted mother and dear sister; grandmother to 11 Carmela Bottalico, 74, of Great Kills, S.I., a retired bus matron, died Sunday, July 15, 2018, peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. Carmela was born in Naples, Italy, and moved to America in 1958. She was married to her late husband, Victor Bottalico, for 56 years. Carmela enjoyed trips to Florida and Atlantic City, gardening, and Sunday dinners with her family, especially her 11 grandchildren. She was a devoted mother of Michael (Michelle), Pasquale (Cristina), and Maria Giovanna Delmar (Jay); dear sister of Theresa Bottalico, and grandmother of 11 grandchildren. Viewing is at Scarpaci Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass will be held at St. Clare's Church, S.I., at 9:45 a.m. Entombment is in Resurrection Cemetery.
