Steve C. Fischer Corpus Christi, TX Steve C. Fischer, 97, of Corpus Christi, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018. He was a WWII veteran serving with the U S Army, and immediately after returning, started his auto mechanic shop on 19th St. His automotive shop was the first shop in Corpus Christi to offer inspections. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca C. Fischer, two sons, Henry Charles and Steve Anthony Fischer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by two daughters, Lydia Jane (Daniel) Dunford of Clinton, Mississippi, and Dolores Marie (Roy) Lopez of Corpus Christi, TX; three grandchildren, Renee Dunford Davis, Daniel A. Dunford, Jr., and Jason C. Lopez; three great granddaughters, and one great great grandson; two sisters, Jane Llanes, and Margaret Guerra; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin 9:00 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 am., Thursday, July 12, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
