Ronald Thomas Russell Ronald Thomas Russell, 56, of Pottsville, died unexpectedly of natural causes in his home on Thursday, July 5, 2018. He was born Oct. 3, 1961, a son of the late Shirley A. (Price) Russell and Ronald S. Russell. Ron graduated from Mahanoy Area High School class of 1979. He worked as a machinist for several years, later working at Schuylkill products, and was currently employed at Omnova Solutions of Auburn. Ron loved being out in nature. He loved hunting, fishing, archery and tying fishing flies. He was a member of the West Penn Archery Club. He also loved riding his motorcycle. Surviving are his sisters, Jane Prantow, wife of Anthony, Tamaqua, Rose Vinson, wife of Shane, Florida, and Patricia Hoppes, wife of Darrin, Tennessee; nieces and nephews, Anthony, Nicole, Erin and Ashley. Service: The family will have visitation on Saturday, July 14, 2018, from 10 to 11 a.m. immediately followed by a memorial service, at the Lamar Christ Funeral Home in Hometown.
