Gordon J. Harrington
Dec. 7, 1942 - June 30, 2018 Esparto Gordon Harrington passed away on June 30. He was the middle child of three to James F. and Helen B. Harrington. He graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a degreee in economics and a minor in architecture. He joined the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for the Social Security Service in San Francisco for 15 years and retired early to enjoy his hobbies which were many. He particularly loved categorizing and viewing native California plants and was a big supporter of the U.C. Davis Herbarium. Later on in life he developed a passion for antiquing. He had a fine appreciation of art and natural beauty. He is survived by his brother, Mark Harrington; sister, Sally Holmes; wife, Delia Harrington; sons, Erin and Anyon Harrington, and his dog, Marvin. Per Gordons request, there will be a private family ceremony. He also requested that it would be lovely if you would make a donation to the U.C. Davis Herbarium or to Yolo Hospice.
