Marvin Lettman 06/17/2018 Marvin Lettman, of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away on June 17th, 2018 at the age of 80. Marvin was born in Buffalo, New York and attended Bennett High School. After graduating, Marvin served a tour in the U.S. Army stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. After his military service, Marvin moved to Daytona Beach, FL. He entered into the scrap metal recycling business, which was the type of work his brothers were involved in. After a period of time Marvin continued to serve his country by becoming a volunteer fireman with Daytona Beach Shores. Later on he served as deputy with Volusia County Sheriff's Department. He also worked at Dillard's department store in the men's department at the Volusia Mall. More recently for the last 20 years he worked as a Private Investigator/Process Server. Marvin was a member of National Association of Professional Process Servers and Florida Association of Professional Process Servers. He was an active participant of the Men's bible group at Grace Episcopal Church in Port Orange. He was on the board of directors of the Villas HOA at Pelican Bay. Marvin is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Doris (Dori) Lettman, his sister Elaine Huber (Paul), St Augustine, FL, brother, Harvey Lettman, St Augustine, FL, his two sons, Richard Beyea (Janice Youngman), Daytona Beach, FL, James Beyea (Phyllis), Goshen, KY, Granddaughters: Caitlin Golden (Shelby) and Mikaela Beyea, Goshen, KY. He was predeceased by his brother, Seymour Lettman. He was loved by many who knew him as Grandpa Marv and Uncle Marv. "Marvelous Marv" as he loved to be called, will be remembered by so many for his outgoing personality. A memorial service will be held on June 27th 2018 at 11AM at Grace Episcopal Church, 4110 S Ridgewood Ave., Port Orange, FL. Donations to Grace Episcopal Church 4110 S Ridgewood Ave., Port Orange, FL 32127 in honor of his life are preferred.
