Maurice D. Smith III, 66, of Elkton , MD, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 15, 2018 at home. He was born in Upper Darby, PA on June 30, 1951. Mike worked as a mechanic for Mercedes. He owned and operated Elmer's Auto in Kimblesville, PA. He was a member of AF&AM Lodge #353, Oxford, PA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. Survivors include his beloved wife, Karen (Zeglin) Smith; his late son, Michael Daine Smith; two daughters: Christina and Amy; his mother, Nancy (Henderson) Smith, of Upper Darby, PA; late father, Maurice D. Smith Jr.; and two siblings: Vicki Bivens (Gary), of Chesapeake City, MD; and Barry Smith (Fran), of Kimblesville, PA. Memorial service will be held Saturday, July 28, 3 p.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main St., North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Brotherhood of the Jungle Cock, in care of the funeral home.
