Janice M. Bouquio Donald, 88 Longtime Staten Islander Janice M. Bouquio Donald, born on March 25, 1930, in Staten Island, N.Y., to the late Edna and Ernest Gould, passed away at age 88 on April 25, 2018, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Janice graduated from Port Richmond High School, married George W. Bouquio, and raised three children before going to work as a payroll clerk at S.I. Developmental Center and later at South Beach Psychiatric Center. Widowed in 1985, she retired in 1996, married Harold E. Donald, and moved to Ft. Lauderdale. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dorance, and by her daughters, Cynthia Thompsen and Sandra Sol. Janice is survived by her son, George E. Bouquio and his wife, Barbara; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Janice loved reading, travel, theater, and dining out. Donations in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Special Olympics are welcomed and appreciated. Janice was a wonderful person: loving, generous and kind. She is greatly missed by her family. To know her was to love her. Friends and family are welcome to attend a graveside service, officiated by the Rev. Ellen Gould Kennedy, on Tuesday, June 19 at 10:30 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery, 1852 Victory Blvd., S.I.
