CANDIA - Thomas M. Parkhurst, 70, of Candia, NH, died June 9, 2018, at Catholic Medical Center, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Manchester, NH on October 27, 1947, he was the son of John T. and Anna (Padden) Parkhurst. Tom resided in Manchester all his life before moving to Candia in 1990. He attended Bishop Bradley High School. Until his retirement, Tom was a master barber and co-owned and operated Classic Cut along with his former wife, Carol. Tom was very proud of his Irish heritage. An avid musician and guitarist, Tom could often be found playing Irish folk music at Henderson's Pickin' Parlor as well as several other local establishments where he was known as "Patio Pete." His kind, devoted, and caring disposition served as an example to many. Tom has left a treasured legacy to all who knew and loved him. He was an outdoor enthusiast and was fond of animals. Family members include his wife of twenty-eight years, Lyn (Calderone) (McMillan) Parkhurst; three daughters, Kerry Parkhurst Auger and her friend, Khalil Blanchette of Epsom, Darcy Parkhurst DiBenedetto and her companion, Stephen Walls, of Manchester, and Stacy Parkhurst Reynolds, and her husband, Jamie, of Londonderry; a step-son, Dirk Schroeder of Manchester; six grandchildren, Brittany, Cody, Ashley, Tyler, Madison, and Justin; two great-grandchildren, Anthony and Charlotte; two brothers, John Parkhurst and his wife, Carol, of Rye and William Parkhurst of New York City; many nieces, nephews and friends. SERVICES: Calling hours are Saturday from 9 to 11:30 AM at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, Manchester, NH.
