NEW HAVEN — Thomas Osborne Kaylor, 90, of New Haven, passed away May 26, 2018 in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Huntington. He was born Oct. 9, 1927 in Letart, (Broad Run Community) a son of the late William E. and Addie O. (Johnson) Kaylor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brothers, William and Edwin Kaylor; sisters, Veda (Kaylor) Pickens, Mary (Kaylor) Clark and Lorena (Kaylor) Blake; grandson, Tommy Short. He was also preceded by a special friend, Ruby Blackburn. He was a United States Army veteran and a member of the American Legion. He was a member of the Boilermakers Union Local # 667 Winfield and a former self -employed truck driver. Thomas was a Baptist by faith. Survivors include his children Gary L. Short and Brenda of Letart, James G. Short and Marsha of Colorado Springs, Colo., Dixie Gardner and Carl of Point Pleasant and Kathy Donovan and George of Syracuse, Ohio; grandchildren, Kristy Short and Eric, Tera Gardner and Becky, Michelle Donovan and Tim, Dale Blount and Tonee, Kim Johnson and Jim; several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He is also survived by Ruby Blackburn's family. Private graveside service will be in the Union Cemetery, Letart. Arrangements are provided by Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason.
