Samuel V. Nablo
Scientist, Inventor, Entrepreneur, Beloved Father. Samuel Victor Nablo, 87, passed from this life on April 6, 2018 surrounded by loving family. Born in Dunnville, Ontario (Canada) he went to McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, earning his Bachelors of Science, Masters and PhD degrees in physics. During this time he met the love of his life, his wife Ruth (Haines) They had 62 great years together. Sam was a principal in the founding of two high technology companies: MedPak Inc. and Electron Processing Systems, Inc as well as Energy Sciences Inc in 1970. As a co-founder of Energy Sciences Inc, Sam succeeded in developing a family of electron processors for industrial use. Sam loved dogs, the great outdoors, sports (particularly the Bruins and Red Sox) and time spent with family and friends on Cape Cod. With his inquisitive mind and enthusiastic spirit he made fast friends. A person of faith, he was an active member of Hancock Church, UCC, in Lexington. Sam is survived by three children: Helen Nablo and her husband Mike Dunfee (Plymouth MA), Carl and Barbara Nablo (Scottsdale, AZ) Wayne and Mary Nablo (Scarborough ME) and grandchildren: Ben Mackall, Kyle Nablo, Samantha Nablo, and Amy Nablo. The family wishes to thank Brookdale Plymouth Beach and Cranberry Hospice for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, please consider gifts to the Audubon Society or Hancock United Church of Christ, Lexington, where a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 5th at 2 pm.
