Elizabeth Schaefer Wappingers Falls - Elizabeth "Bette" Schaefer, 100, of Wappingers Falls, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Wingate at Dutchess, Fishkill. She was born in New York City April 3, 1918, the daughter of Henry and Anna Kiernan Freeman. Mrs. Schaefer was employed as an operator representative for N.Y. telephone in Flushing, N.Y. She was a member of the Wappingers Elks lodge ladies auxiliary. Her husband, George Schaefer, predeceased her. Surviving are her daughters, Jane F. Huscher and her husband William, of Wappingers Falls, Elizabeth A. Miller of Moultonborough, N.H., a son, George Miller, Jr. of Franklin, N.H., Grandchildren, Lisa Huscher, Billy Huscher and his wife Celine, Paul Sherman and his wife Karen, Great Grandchildren, Kevin, Tyler, Chloee, Thomas, Mary Frances, and Julia. She is predeceased by a granddaughter, Jackie Ubaldo. Friends may call at the Delehanty Funeral Home 64 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls Tuesday from 4 to 6 PM.
