Thomas "Tommy" Corres Thomas "Tommy" Corres age 55, of Brookfield, CT passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Thomas was born February 10, 1962 in Brooklyn, NY the son of Tomas and Violetta (Vega). He received an Associate Degree from S.U.N.Y Farmingdale College, and served 22 years as a Connecticut State Trooper with Troop A in Southbury CT, where he received a Life Savings Award in 2008. In 1980 he competed and placed in the National Men's Gymnastics, and later he became a coach for various gymnastic clubs. Tom's greatest joy in his life was his family, everything he did was for them, and his entire life was centered on health and fitness and was an avid cyclist and a member of St Rose of Lima Church in Newtown. He was a kind and caring man who had the highest standards in being honest and will be truly missed. He is survived by his wife Mary, three children Justin, Jason and Jianna, Corres his parents Tomas and Violetta Corres, one sister Nidza Corres, two brothers David and Richie Corres, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home 57 Main St Danbury CT on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday 10:30 a.m. at St Rose of Lima Church, cremation will be held in private at the request of the family.
