Wilma May Turner Brookston - Wilma May Turner (1929-2018) Brookston - Wilma May Turner, 88 of Brookston and formerly Earl Park, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Born on September 15, 1929 in Earl Park to Elmer and Stella (Besse) Mailloux. She was a graduate of Oxford High School. Wilma spent a good part of her life as a homemaker, as well as working in the family business for many years with her husband, John Wayne Turner, at the G&T Tap in Earl Park. She really enjoyed retiring and moving to the Tecumseh Bend to live on the river. She enjoyed gardening, cooking (making her homemade noodles for family and friends was one of her specialties), crocheting blankets and just taking in the beauty of her surroundings. Wilma spent a lot of time with her family, especially in the summer when she was bombarded by kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. All were welcome! She is preceded in death by her son Michael Steven Turner and her sister Rosalie Mailloux Holmgren. Wilma is survived by her husband of 69 years John Wayne Turner, her daughter Linda Marie Turner Collins (Terry), son Ronald John Turner (Billie), daughter in law Hope Turner, son David Thomas Turner (Diane Ross), son James Curtis Turner (Tammy), and daughter Carol Ann Turner. Brothers Ivan Mailloux and Richard "Dick" Mailloux. Grandchildren - Stacy Reifel Wussow, Tammy Stane Ray, Thomas Wayne Reifel, Kendall Collins Smith, Jeremy Michael Turner, Sarah Lynn Wallpe, Joye Michelle Turner, Curtis Wayne Turner, Ashely Nicole Turner, Jacob Thomas Turner, Troy Matthew Turner, Kelsey Bryan Woolsey, Carson Alexander Woolsey and Chase Hamilton Woolsey. Wilma also had 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday, January 19, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 107 E. Main Street, Fowler, IN; viewing will be from 9:30 am - 11:00 am. Mass will begin at 11:00 officiated by Father Peter Vanderkolk and Father Donald Gross. Lunch will be served immediately after mass in the Sacred Heart gym. In leu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to YMCA Camp Tecumseh or Sacred Heart School. Windler Funeral Home in Fowler is assisting with the family.
