DARNALL, Elizabeth Anne (Smith) July 8, 1949 - December 21, 2017 Liz grew up in San Antonio, graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1967. She earned BA and JD degrees from SMU, where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta. She worked as a real estate agent and then practiced from 1985 as an attorney in Dallas. Liz was a loving and devoted mother to Sarah, lifetime supporter of the Girl Scouts, talented cook and hostess, voracious reader of mysteries, home-giver to many dogs and cats, and gifted listener who freely shared her quick wit, sharp intelligence, common sense, and direct opinion in business and personal conver-sations, all of which is already missed. Preceded in death by parents Eugenia Gallatin Bowden, Aubrey Smith, and John Bowden, and by beloved husband William Harry Darnall, Liz is survived by her daughter Sarah Eugenia Darnall, 29, of Mesquite TX, her brother Albert L. Smith of Bumpass VA, and her loving uncle Albert Gallatin of San Antonio, as well as many friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., at Spring Valley United Methodist Church, 7700 Spring Valley Rd, Dallas TX. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in her name to Thomas Jefferson High School Historical Preservation Fund http://www.tjhshps.org or Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas http://www.girlscouts-swtx.org
