In memory of
Marion Gagan Kovach
MARION GAGAN KOVACH Summerfield - Marion Gagan Kovach, a loving mother and wife, who was deeply devoted to family and friends, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, December 11, 2017. Marion was kind and generous, constantly putting others before herself. A former school guidance counselor, Marion was the listening ear to family and friends, always ready to provide advice and comfort to those in need. She enjoyed time with loved ones, studying the word of God, being outside, traveling, playing tennis and giving back to her community. A Wake Forest alum, she was a dedicated Demon Deacons fan who enjoyed attending sporting events with her family. Marion had an unwavering faith in Christ that shined through as a bright light despite the hardships she endured. She had many favorite scripture verses, but the following was particularly comforting: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6 Marion is survived by her husband Dave, daughter Sarah, sons Michael and Joseph, stepson Ben, sisters, Patricia and husband Jeff, Jenny and husband Robert, brother, Rick and wife Susan, and mother Terri, and father Bill and his wife Claire. Visitation will be held from 6:30 PM to 8 PM, Friday, December 15, 2017, at Christ Church Greensboro, 414 N. Church St. Greensboro, NC. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Christ Church Greensboro, 414 N. Church St. Greensboro, NC. Phone: 336-209-5659 Marion was a true supporter and believer in the Young Life mission of inviting youth to follow Christ. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts to Young Life Greensboro and/or Young Life Capernaum.
