In memory of
Michael Pascarella, 88 Loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather Michael Pascarella, 88, passed away Nov. 11, 2017. He was born in Manhattan, moved to Staten Island as a young child, and spent his whole life there before moving to New Jersey in 2015 to live with his daughter after the death of his wife . He resided at the Brandywine of Princeton for the past year and a half, where he participated in many trips and activities that brought him much enjoyment. Michael served in the Army and was stationed in Japan during the Korean War. After his time in the Army, he became a land surveyor with Carlton Ettlinger Surveyors. In his spare time, Michael enjoyed flying and building planes. He also loved working on cars and spent years rebuilding a 1959 Jaguar. Michael was also actively involved with the American Legion C. Granito W. Smith Post 1296 and the Italian-American Club, where he was president for several years. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 40 years, Erna Pascarella; his parents, John and Rose Pascarella; his brother, Joseph Pascarella, and his son, Richard Pascarella. He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Cleary and her husband, Michael, of Dayton, N.J., June Coutlangus and her husband, James, of Melbourne, Fla; his daughter-in-law, Barbara Pascarella of Fort Myers, Fla; his sister, Grace Curitore of Staten Island; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Visitation is Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Harmon Funeral Home. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Church on Watchogue Rd. in Westerleigh. Interment will follow at St Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Assocation, www.alsa.org , or St. Jude, www.stjude.org .
