In memory of
Kerry Olivier
Kerry Evan Shreve Olivier Age 26 Kerry Olivier of Portland, Oregon died suddenly and unexpectedly on September 22, 2017. He was born April 21, 1991, the son of Howard and Megan (Wong) Olivier, in Boise, Idaho. Kerry was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, grandchild, friend, lover, coworker, and inspiration who quickened the conversation; listened in a way that people felt heard; spoke in a way that people understood; filled the world around him with kindness and silly delight; played his own note in a Broadway song or kazoo chorus, with flashing eyes and a magnificent smile. From Washington Elementary to North Junior High to Boise High School, Central Washington University and the University of Oregon Applied Physics graduate program, Kerry engaged in learning with inimitable joy. We will miss Kerry as a musician, hiker, co-conspirator, inventor, and favorite participant in adventures of all sorts with family and friends. We invite you to gather with his parents Megan and Howard Olivier, his sister Nicki Olivier Hellenkamp, loving partner Lydia Fredeen, and Kerry's large extended family Saturday October 28th, 10 AM at the Cathedral of the Rockies, in Boise, Idaho for a memorial service. Facebook event: https://goo.gl/K7uiRj Donations to the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation in honor or memory of Kerry are welcome. goo.gl/iZLyqw. Deaths from suicide are so tragic. Every so often but rarely enough that people still frolic by the sea a rogue wave catches someone unawares and simply sweeps them away. This can happen at the beach; it can happen on an interior seascape as well. Kerry disappeared with that sort of finality, leaving speechless spectators in utter disbelief.
