On Monday, August 7, 2017, Sheila Day Collins died at the Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV. She was 82. She was born in London, England on November 24, 1934. Sheila is survived by her two daughters Maxine Newman of Laurel, MD and Tara Benbow of Martinsburg, WV, son-in-law Bill Benbow, grandsons, Christopher and Stephen, granddaughter Chelsea and six great-grandchildren. Sheila was a graduate of the University of Maryland Law School. She was attorney in the Prince George's County State Attorney's Office. Sheila retired from the WSSC where she was an attorney in the general council department. Sheila enjoyed traveling and gardening. She loved to ski and play tennis. She especially loved dogs. There will be a celebration of Sheila's life Sunday, October 1st at London Town Gardens in Edgewater, MD between 3:00PM and 5:00PM.
