Brian W. Noone, 68 LANCASTER - Brian W. Noone, 68, was welcomed by our Lord on August 8th, 2017, following a heroic battle with cancer. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 24 years, Rosalie C. Jones-Noone, stepson Lawrence M. Jones III and wife Nicole of South Glastonbury, CT, stepdaughter Lisa Marie Jones Elia and husband, Fred Elia of Belleair Beach, FL. Brian thought of Larry and Lisa as his own children and spoke of them in that way. Brian had six cherished grandchildren whom he adored and was called "Papa" to his delight. They are Alexa Catherine Jones, Matthew Gregory Jones, Ryan Lawrence Jones, Paul John (PJ) Jones, Tyler John Elia, and Grace Anne Elia. Brian leaves two brothers, John F. Noone Jr. of Worcester, and his long time companion, Jill, and Michael L. Noone and wife, Rosemary, of Brewster. He also leaves two nieces, one nephew, and two grand nieces. Brian graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1966, followed by earning a BSE at Fitchburg State College. He taught history and social studies for the Worcester Public Schools. For the next 3 years, after teaching distributive education subjects for 2 ½ years at Bay Path Vocational High School, he left to pursue his Master's in Counseling Psychology. Brian spent the next 16 ½ years at the Occupational Training Center in Worcester. Shortly after marrying in 1993, he joined the Winchendon Public Schools as a School Psychologist and continued his education earning a CAGS from UMass Boston. Brian's legacy was to be of service to others. He enjoyed reading, history, discussing religion, an occasional ball game, and feeding ducks with his wife. Best of all, he enjoyed being with his wife, grandchildren, and extended family. Calling hours at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester are Friday, August 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral will be held on Saturday, August 12 with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union Street, Clinton. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brian's honor to St. John the Guardian of Our Lady Parish, 149 Chestnut St., Clinton, 01510; to VNACare Hospice, 120 Thomas Street Worcester, MA 01608; or to St. Benedict Center – St. Anne's House, P.O.
