Aaron B. Tackett
Aaron B. Tackett, 72, of Honaker, husband of Mazie Hamilton Tackett, died Monday, January 2, 2017, at Pikeville Medical Center. He was born December 20, 1944, at Blue Moon, Kentucky, the son of the late Curtis and Nancy Hunter Tackett. Tackett was a self-employed businessman and owner of Double T Construction. During his early career years, he worked for his parents at C&N Coal Company and owned and operated a trucking company. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend and kind neighbor to all those who knew him. He was survived by his wife, one, one sister, two granddaughters and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 6, at the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Old Regular Baptist ministers officiating. Burial followed in the Tackett Family Cemetery, at Honaker, Kentucky. Visitation was held the evening of Wednesday, January 4 and all day Thursday, January 5 with church services held each evening. Arrangements were under the direction of the Hall Funeral Home of Martin.
