John M. Maher Sr., passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017 at the age of 83 years at Canon Hospice Care. John was born January 3, 1934 in New Orleans, Louisiana and a native of Kenner, Louisiana for 44 years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a proud member of Kenner Central Lions. He was the husband of Janice Armit Maher. Father of Carl, John and Kevin Maher. Brother of Eddie, Mike, Dennis Maher and the late Frank, Agnes Shows, Jerome, Robert and Joseph. Grandfather of 7 grandchildren and survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a Catholic Memorial Service at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 1908 Short St., Kenner, LA 70062 on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM. There will be a Gathering for family friends and members of Kenner Central Lions after the service at 2114 Kenner Ave. (VFW & Kenner Central Lions Hall).
