Dr. Charles Phillip BECKER PHD.
BECKER, PHD., Dr. Charles Phillip Le Grand 66 passed away on April 27th, 2017. Phil, known by his friends and family was born on August 31, 1950 in Martinez, CA. He was the youngest son of Willard Lynn "Sparky" Becker, and Gladys Marie "Pud" Halpine. Phil was raised in Pittsburg, CA. and moved to Sonoma County in 1974. He graduated from USF in 1991 with his Ph.D in Psychology and Sociology. Dr. Becker worked for Child Protective Services for the County of Sonoma and retired in 2005. He also had a private practice as a MFT until his recent death. He appreciated beauty, enjoyed indulgences, and valued hard work. Phil was best known for his love of music. He was a dedicated drummer who enjoyed listening and playing. He is survived by his loving friend Carolyn Farmer. His sister Sylvia Verbrugh of El Centro, his son Michael Becker of Petaluma and his daughter, Nicole Fish and grandchildren Samuel Fish and Lilah Fish.
