Francis was born on July 26, 1930 and passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017.
Francis was a resident of New York at the time of passing.
He attended the Lockwood School, a one-roomed schoolhouse that still stands on Route 310 in Madrid.
Francis was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was part of the B Company, 143rd Tank Battalion, 43rd Infantry Division, 4th Platoon, where he was a Tank Commander.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at 10:00 am at St. John the Baptist Church in Madrid.
