In memory of
Evan Wodehouse, 27 years old of Metairie, Louisiana was called to heaven on January 21, 2017. Evan would like to let everyone know that his work here is done. He received a call, as sort of an offer he couldn't refuse. His new mission takes him to a wonderful place where his social skills would be applied, dancing, gourmet food (PIZZA) would be available, music, fun and love a guarantee. With a heart of gold and the touch of an angel, Evan's unrelentless happiness touched so many souls, and lit up many people on his path, he was unique and pure and so funny with a one of a kind sense of humor that was contagious. Evan was born March 12 of 1989 in Metairie, the son of Kenneth and Lisa. Evan is survived by his parents and his brother Craig and his ever loving big family of whom extend to Santiago, Chile. Evan was a special Olympics swimmer for many years and attended St. Michael's Special School graduating in 2011. He enjoyed his "job" at Magnolia day program and loved his three weekly bowling leagues as well as his Miracle League baseball team, the Giants and his basketball team. Evan belonged to a social club and loved his monthly dances and bingo. Evan loved going to the movies, the mall, big lots and best buy and his weekly walks out at the lakefront with his dogs Snowball and Pepper. A gathering will be held to celebrate his life January 28, 2017 at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church 215 Bentz Place, Metairie, LA 70005, entrance on Metairie Rd. Friends and Family will gather for visitation at 12:30 PM and the Funeral Mass to begin at 2:00 PM. Online condolences may be offered at www.gardenofmemoriesmetairie.com.
